They also threw in a free Butter Garlic Sauce which I drizzled over my veggies every night. It was REALLY good drizzled over the cauliflower. They even included a guidebook with instructions and other helpful tips to assist you along your weight loss journey.
I should also mention that I picked out each of the items I wanted to be included in my meal kit. I am pretty picky when it comes to my food but I also like to try new things, so I did add in quite a few items that were new to my tastebuds.
Did I enjoy everything? Well, to be honest, NO. I didn’t like everything that was included in my kit. The veggies were particularly challenging for me because I don’t typically like veggies. And when I do eat veggies, they have to be cooked in a very specific way. The only veggie I really enjoyed in this kit was the cauliflower.
I definitely enjoyed trying the different items and not having to worry about measuring the correct portions. It certainly made my meal planning super easy for those 2 weeks.
Of course, 2 weeks isn’t long enough to see any major results and results will vary depending on how you supplement the items included in your kit. I have also previously done the keto diet so this was a breeze for me. I used the included Personal Trainer Food weight loss guidelines pamphlet to help me decide on which foods I would use to supplement my meals. And the best part is, I never felt like I was starving on this plan!
I also greatly enjoyed the variety in my meals each day.
Word of caution to those who are used to eating a lot of sugar or have never done a keto diet: you may feel terrible the first few days of adopting this diet. That sugar detox can be absolutely awful. Make sure you stay hydrated during this time. Be patient with yourself. And try to hang in there! This too shall pass.
Is it Worth it?
Depending on your goals and personal preferences, this meal plan delivery service may be perfect. The total cost comes out to less than $20/day and it does come with quite a bit of high-quality foods for you to eat throughout the day.
I personally believe this would be a great start for those wanting to lose weight but are really struggling with their diet.
Pros
- A wide variety of food offered
- Easy to order and delivered straight to your doorstep
- Comes with a very useful guidebook
- Food is pre-portioned
- Quick heating in their special bistro steamer bags
- The box your food is delivered in is reusable and they include instructions on how to donate your box to charity
Cons
- It may not be the best fit depending on your particular budget
- You won’t necessarily like the taste of everything
- You will need to make a lot of room in your freezer
Overall, I really like what Personal Trainer Food is doing here. It won’t be a great fit for everyone but it can be so helpful to many. It is also one of the best-tasting diet plans I’ve been on thus far. So that’s a bonus.
