Why are These Organization Hacks Such a Big Deal?

Closet and drawer space is at a premium for most people (definitely for me).

And finding a place for all your stuff can be challenging, especially if you’re trying to maximize your space.

The key to making it all work is organization, and it can make all the difference in your home.

Luckily, with a little creativity, you can make the most of the storage areas in your living space.

Here are some must-try organization hacks for your closet and drawers.

Organization Hacks That are Totally Worth It

Use closet dividers or containers to separate clothing by type.

Closet dividers and containers will help you find what you need quickly and easily. It will also keep your closet looking neat and organized. I am actually loving these closet dividers I found on Amazon.

Using shelf dividers to separate clothing by type is a fantastic way to keep things looking extra tidy. This will also help you find what you need quickly and easily.

Use tension rods to create more room in your closet.

Many times, we just need more space to hang things. To cure this issue, add two tension rods, one above the other, and hang items you don’t use as often.

Doing so will free up more space in your closet.

Use hangers with multiple clips.

While we’re on the subject of hanging things, another space-saving hack is to use hangers with multiple clips. This will allow you to hang multiple pieces of clothing on one hanger, freeing up more room.

Use drawer dividers to separate clothing by type in your drawers.

Similar to closet dividers, you can use dividers in your drawers to separate your items.

Everyone in my household struggled with fitting things into our drawers and keeping it neat. We are now starting to use dividers, and it has been so extremely helpful!

Don’t forget small containers for your drawers!

Not only is it helpful to have dividers in your drawers, but you can also utilize small containers for the best results.

Use the space under your bed for storage.

If you have space under your bed, use it (not to hide the chaos, but to better organize it).

You can use bins, boxes, or other containers that easily slip under the bed, to store clothing, linens, or other items.

This is a great way to make use of space that might otherwise go unused.

Use the back of your closet door for storage.

You can use a hanging organizer or a set of hooks to store clothing, shoes, or other items.

We actually store my daughter’s massive collection of dolls on the back of her door using a shoe organizer. This was the perfect way to free up space in our storage closets and on her floor.

Use labels on your shelves and drawers

Labels will help you to find what you need quickly and easily.

It is also a great way to ensure that everything has a place, which is MAJOR key when trying to keep things in your household in order.

These organization hacks can certainly help you make the most of your closet and drawers, giving you a neat, organized space.

With a little bit of effort and a few hacks, you can create an area that is more organized than you probably ever imagined.
