Myro is a sustainable body care brand that creates natural body wash and eco-friendly deodorant kits.
One thing about their brand that makes them stand out is their use of refillable cases and bottles for their products. Essentially, the whole concept of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle is what their whole brand is built on.
Myro’s vegan-friendly deodorant is made using:
- 100% natural scent
It is also free of aluminum, gluten, parabens, and baking soda.
It was actually their list of ingredients that further encouraged me to even give their natural deodorant for women a try.
Myro deodorant uses probiotics and sage to neutralize the bacterias that cause body odor. The aloe in the deodorant soothes the skin and helps the deodorant glide on. They use natural fragrances and essential oils to give you that fresh smell.
The deodorant cases are made from recyclable plastics, but they are also reusable so you don’t have to worry about sending them to the landfill. The refill pods are also recyclable.
As I mentioned previously, Myro’s deodorant containers are refillable. This is actually one of the things I love most about their deodorant! They are also travel-friendly and meet TSA requirements which is a bonus.
Refilling your deodorant is easy. All you need to do is insert your new refill pod and twist it until you hear a click.
Myro currently offers the following deodorant scents:
- Spa Day
- Island Hop
- Chai Sunrise
- Solar Flare
- Big Dipper
- Chill Wave
- Pillow Talk
- Open Air
Choosing a scent is a matter of your personal preferences so I cannot say which scent is the best. I also only tried the Pillow Talk scent in the deodorant so can only share my experiences about that.
The pillow talk scent isn’t very strong. I honestly don’t even smell it throughout the day. The scent is definitely very earthy in the container but it’s nothing to write home about.
My 11-year-old has been using Myro’s deodorant without any issues so far. I’m really picky about the body care products I let my kids use, but this one seemed safe enough to try.
In contrast, my husband got a rash after trying the Pillow Talk deodorant. We are still not sure which ingredient irritated his skin.
Make sure you double-check the ingredients to see if there are any potential allergens for you or your child.
You can order Myro deodorant online.
Okay, so let’s get to the part you’ve likely been waiting for – my personal experience.
As I mentioned previously, I chose the Pillow Talk scent which isn’t very strong and I am okay with that.
Opening the deodorant container at first was a real struggle. You have to put a little muscle into it as you turn the top to unlock it.
The deodorant itself is a little soft and that could potentially be problematic. I feel like if it was a little warmer in my home, or outdoors even, the deodorant would just turn into a liquid. It is winter at the time of this review so I have not been able to test this theory.
I have tried other natural deodorants in the past, and I have had quite a few issues with many of them.
Myro is so far my favorite natural and aluminum-free deodorant because:
-It isn’t greasy and doesn’t stain my clothes.
-It actually does reduce perspiration.
-The scent I selected is really light, and I can’t even smell it throughout the day.
-It gets the job done as a deodorant as I had no issues with odor.
-It glides on easily.
-A single application lasts ALL DAY!
And since I travel often, I absolutely LOVE that I can pack this deodorant in my carry-on bag.
Overall, I definitely think the Myro deodorant is worth the purchase! You can get a super aesthetic deodorant case that you can simply refill. And the best part is, the deodorant actually does what it’s supposed to do without all the nasty ingredients.
