Hilife Handheld Steamer
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hilife handheld garment steamer. And today, I am going to share my experience with you and help you decide if this handheld clothes steamer is even worth the purchase.
With nearly 4.5 out of 5 stars amongst their 60,000+ reviews on Amazon, I was quite confident that this product was a good one. But did it live up to my expectations? Let’s talk about it.

About the Product
The following items were included in my box:
- Measuring Cup
- Fabric Brush
The setup to use this product was super simple. All you need to do is fill the included water tank up to the max line. Then plug up the machine and switch it on. Within a couple of minutes, it should heat up and begin steaming.
Simply use a back and forth motion over the area you are steaming to release the wrinkles. Once you are done with the unit, turn it off and unplug the cord. Allow it to cool for at least an hour then remove any attachments, drain the remaining water, and place in a dry and cool location.
My Review + Pros & Cons
This handheld was very easy to use and it was reasonably priced. It gets the job done although I would’ve liked to have seen the wrinkles be released a little quicker. It took me about 15 minutes to get my blouse perfectly smooth. Not sure if I was doing something incorrectly or what, but it definitely wasn’t as quick as I would have preferred. Then again, I am aware that it is a smaller unit.
- Super portable
- Affordably priced
- Does release wrinkles from garments
- Comes with a measuring cup and fabric brush
- Lightweight and easy to use
- Heats up within 1-2 minutes
- It is a small unit so it can take a bit of time to get all of the wrinkles out of your garment
- It did sputter a couple of times and get tiny wet marks on my blouse
- Must keep the unit upright so that the water doesn’t spill out
