I’ve been taking the First Day Women’s Multivitamin (Daily Supercharge) for a while now, so I figured now would be a great time to update you all with a detailed review.

(2024 UPDATE: I don’t take these gummy vitamins as regularly as I used to. Admittedly, it has now been a few months since I ordered more First Day gummies for myself.)

If you do follow the Major League Mommy blog, you may have already noticed that my kids take the First Day Kids Multivitamins. My Husband has also tried the Men’s vitamin from First Day. I mention this to say, my entire family is quite familiar with these gummy multivitamins. I’m not just a random person paid to promote as we see so commonly today.

All of my reviews are 100% honest so there’s no bias here. So let’s dive into my honest First Day Vitamins review for all my women out there.

My Personal Experience

I have been taking these vitamins for about 3 months , so it’s safe to say that I clearly had no major issues with them so far. And as a matter of fact, I absolutely ENJOY these gummies!

UPDATE 2023: I have been taking the vitamins for a couple of YEARS now.

They taste pretty good and they’ve given me no issues at all since I started taking them. I like their texture and they’re not filled with a bunch of sugar and junk which I can definitely appreciate. I also appreciate that they don’t use artificial sweeteners and instead use organic cane sugar. The gummies have a high-quality taste to them. It’s kind of hard to explain, but it’s just so different than those vitamin brands that stuff the vitamins with artificial flavors and other low-quality ingredients.

I currently have these on a subscription and I do plan to stick with that subscription because I like the product.

UPDATE 2023: I no longer have the subscription and, instead, just log in and make a one-time purchase as needed.

However, I don’t yet have any clear evidence of any positive impact on my overall health. That’s just one of those things that can be difficult to gauge, to be honest. But it’s not like I’ve seen any improvement in my (super low)energy levels. Brain function appears to be out the same. Yeah, I can’t say that there has been any huge difference in my health. There is no clear proof that any nutritional deficiencies have been resolved. So don’t expect anything magical to take place. This, however, doesn’t mean these vitamins aren’t working.

Pros

  • Very tasty
  • Made with clean and organic ingredients
  • Includes no artificial colors
  • Contains essential vitamins
  • Comes with a reusable bottle
  • Subscription is available
  • Up to 80% less sugar than leading brands (containing only 2 grams of sugar)
  • They have options for the whole family

Cons

  • Pretty expensive for vitamins at $39.00/bottle for a 30-day supply (at the time of initial review. Check the website for up-to-date pricing)
  • Can be difficult to measure their effectiveness

Multivitamins for Women – Are they Really Worth It?

Many of our diets do not provide us with all the nutrition we need (even if you’re not a picky eater and generally have a well-balanced diet). And I know that I was deficient in key vitamins myself (as verified by my PCP).

In such cases, multivitamins are both quite helpful and necessary to fill in those nutritional gaps. But as always, I recommend discussing this with your doctor for their recommendation on the best vitamins for your specific needs.

First Day does claim to formulate their dietary supplements based on the latest science and it definitely can be a great option for those of us who are low on critical vitamins.

So there we have it! That is my honest assessment of the First Day women’s vitamins. If you’d like to try them out for yourself, you can place your order HERE.
