Whether you’re having a St. Patty’s Day party for your preschool classroom or are just looking for something fun to do at home, here are a few ideas to consider.

Glitter Shamrocks

What’s more fun than a bit of sparkle? For this craft, all you need is green cardstock, scissors, glue, and glitter.

Have the children cut out shamrock shapes from the cardstock, glue them to the paper, and then sprinkle glitter over the shamrocks.

Leprechaun Hats

Let the kids get creative and design their own leprechaun hats. All you need is construction paper, glue, markers, and scissors.

Kids can draw a band around the base of the hat, glue it together, and then decorate it with markers and/or other materials.

Rainbow Suncatchers

Even preschoolers can make these beautiful and colorful suncatchers! You’ll need wax paper, crayons, and colored tissue paper for this craft.

Have the kids draw rainbows on the wax paper, then cut out the shapes and glue them on the tissue paper.

Pipe Cleaner Shamrocks

This craft is perfect for younger children and requires only pipe cleaners and a glue gun.

Have the children twist the pipe cleaners into shamrock shapes. An adult can then glue them together.

Lucky Wreath

For this fun craft, you will need green construction paper, glue, scissors, and string.

Adults can have pre-cut shamrock shapes available for kids and the kids can glue the shamrocks together to create a circle shape. You can add a string so that you can hang up the wreath.

Rainbow Collage

Get some colorful construction paper, glue, and scissors. Cut out various shapes from the construction paper and use glue to create a beautiful rainbow collage.

Shamrock Stamp

To make a shamrock stamp, you need a foam sheet, a foam roll, and green paint.

Cut out a shamrock shape from the foam sheet. Roll the foam roll and attach it to the foam sheet. Dip it in the green paint, and you can now make shamrock stamps anywhere!
