Winter Garden/Greenhouse

You may be thinking that gardening is an activity reserved for the warmer seasons. But the truth is, you can actually maintain a beautiful garden even in the cold winter months!

You can select your fave winter plants. Choose a color scheme if you wish and add some fun winter-themed decor. You may even choose to construct a greenhouse this winter. If so, I highly recommend checking out these tips to heat your greenhouse in the winter.  

The entire family can enjoy preparing and maintaining the winter garden.

 

Ice Skating Rink

If you enjoy ice skating, this project is a must-add to your winter bucket list. 

All you need to do to create an ice skating rink right in your own yard is build out a frame, add a tarp, then add the water. Once it’s perfectly frozen, you all can enjoy hours of fun ice skating at home.

Winter Feast Tree

A winter feast tree is a collection of fruits and veggies strung onto a tree as a garland for our forest friends and other animals to munch on throughout the winter.

Snow Obstacle Course

You can use items around your home or yard to create your very own obstacle course in the snow! You can get as creative as you like with this project. No need to follow specific guidelines. But I do recommend checking out Pinterest for a few ideas. 

 

Bonfire Gathering Space

If you don’t already own a firepit, you can build or buy one. This will be the focal point of your winter gathering space. From there, you can choose to create a covered outdoor space or simply leave it uncovered and add some comfy chairs and other furniture pieces. The choice is yours!
