If Money Doesn't Grow on Trees, where does it grow? book
If Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees, Where DOES it Grow?

Recommended Age:
This book is geared towards children ages 5-8 or grades K-2.

This book was written by two kids, ‘Ailani & Aralynn Riley (they just so happen to be my daughters). However, this kids’ book about money didn’t make the list because my kids wrote it. It made the list because it teaches kids key money lessons in a fun and engaging way.

Here are some lessons children can learn from this book:

  • The power of earning, saving, and investing
  • How to spend your money wisely
  • The value of delayed gratification
  • What it means to earn “interest”
  • The importance of putting your money somewhere it can grow even when you stop adding more of your own money to it

The main character, Julius, is a child himself. And in this book, readers will follow him on his journey to discover how to make his money grow so that he can buy a new toy he really wants.
