Day 13 of our Countdown to Christmas has arrived! Christmas is quickly approaching with just 12 days left, and here’s what we’ve been up to:

Brown sugar cinnamon pancakes
‘Ai was lucky enough to have a snow day at school yesterday (Airee’s school was still open), but we all hung out at home- just me and the girls. We decided to make brown sugar cinnamon pancakes for breakfast. ‘Ai was our chef for the day.

We mixed a little Hershey’s chocolate in a few of the pancakes. They all turned out absolutely delicious! Super yummy. Go ‘Ai!

After letting our breakfast digest a bit, we did some yoga to kick off our Day. I couldn’t do as much as I wanted to because of a back injury from this weekend but it was fun watching the girls! We love yoga around here.

‘Ai’s grandma texted me to remind me to have ‘Ai practice her part for their Christmas program at church this Sunday so that’s what we did. She’s pretty good at memorizing lines!
Although school was closed today, we still wanted to make sure we got our book order in. So I sat with ‘Ai and picked out some books from this month’s catalog.

Instead of playing in the snow (because none of us like the cold), we decided to watch Disney’s A Christmas Carol and stay warm and bundled up inside.

  6. Growing up in Upstate NY I know about snow days! Our tradition was every snowy day a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies would be made. Although my daughter is now 30 she carries on the tradition. We loved bok club too! Reading is a gift to the soul!

    1. Aw. Feel better! It took us forever to get the tree up this year.
