Healthy Immune Boosting Jelly Beans for the Whole Family

Finding healthy snacks for the kids is not an easy task these days. And children are quickly attracted to all sorts of sweet, salty, and colorfully packaged goods that are full of white sugar, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, coloring, etc.

So, how do we encourage them to eat healthy and avoid any temptations?

My answer is simple: by making quick and easy healthy snacks at home. Kids are eager to be creative, to help us in the kitchen and explore the world by crafting! Cooking healthy meals together can be a fun and bonding experience.

Struggling to find any ideas and healthy recipes? Here is my suggestion to you – tasty jelly beans without any white sugar that will gently boost your and your children’s immunity! How cool is that?

Let’s get straight to the preparation!

Healthy Immune Boosting Jelly Beans

2 Tbsps. pure water

2 Tbsps. High quality gelatin

2 Tbsps. Fresh lemon juice

2 Tbsps. raw honey

Mix the water and the gelatin in a double boiler on low heat. Remember not to let the water boil or simmer. Add the lemon juice and the honey. Stir until the honey melts completely and the consistency is fully homogenous. Pour the liquid in proper silicon forms and place them in the fridge for several hours.

If you and your kids like this recipe, you can increase the quantities and use various fun forms. After the candies are ready, put them in a glass jar with a tight lid and store them in the fridge.

Beside the lemons and honey, which have proven health benefits, gelatin is also a substance that is extremely valuable for us. It strengthens the ligaments, the hair, nails, and skin. It improves our appearance with its anti-age properties, and keeps us flexible and agile.

Happy crafting!
