Have you been searching for ways to get the family together for some quality interaction during your free time? Well, here are 9 ways to do just that.
Cook a meal together- Get the family together to cook your favorite meal together. You can even take this time to build a family recipe book and plan to come together as a family and cook one meal from your recipe book every week.
Visit a petting farm or zoo- I personally love taking my girls to the zoo or to the petting farm so they can interact with nature and even learn a thing or two about various animals. You can even turn it into a game where the kids have a list of animals they need to find during their visit and they can check it off their list as they find them. Maybe they can even win a prize for finding all of their animals.
Have a family game night- pull out all of your favorite board games and some yummy snacks and gather the entire family for a game night.
Nature walk- take a relaxing and healthy Nature Walk to help engage children with the natural world and get some good exercise and fresh air while spending some quality time with their family.
Redecorate the house- team up with the family to redecorate or paint rooms in the house. Not only will you get to change up the look in your home but you’ll also get to bond with your family in the process.
Put together a family photo book- Pull out all of those silly, embarrassing, and heart-warming family photos, put on some music, and get the family together to construct a family photo book.
Take a trip to your favorite vacation spot- A family vacation is a great way to spend time with your loved ones. Get the family together to plan and take a trip to their favorite spot or one trip to multiple locations.
Complete a DIY science project- Oozing volcanoes, slime, ride-on hovercrafts! The possibilities are endless. Have a night of experimental family fun and try out a few DIY science experiments- you can have lots of fun with this.
Family Car Wash- Pull out the soap and towels and turn on the music! The entire family can join in on the drive-way car wash and get all of the household vehicles sparking clean. This is definitely a win-win activity.
